Bruce, 3 of the starter switches are short and one is slightly longer. Hmmmm, I will research this.

Pete, I do not know how to do a voltage drop, but I will research that as well. Thank you.

No help James with the jumper cable/ground, just one click from starter... My battery was also dead this morning, drained overnight!

Bruce, you're brilliant!!!!!! The one screw that was maybe 3/16" longer was it! I pulled it out and the starter turned over!!!!!! Holy cow, what a big deal that little screw can make! Now time to rebuild the carb so I can get "Fred" happy and running again.
