You have hit on something I think a lot of hobbyists would like to have, ...including me.
It is easy enough to camouflage good quality speakers behind door/kick panels, and if someone could make a small stand-alone amplifier (Not a radio or CD player) that could also be hidden behind a panel, then people like my kids could use their Ipod on 6v or 12v systems in their As & Ts. I'm sure your Tablet has music capabilities, so a wire going from the amp to plug into the earphone jack on your tablet would give you many hours of music options. Does anyone know of a device like I am describing that could be used in a Model A?

Is there anyone out there that is using a IPad for this same reason.
I would like to hear about the availability of APPs on the IPad. What I really am looking for is one that I can tell it what roads I would like to travel on along the route and it would tell me when the turn (left or right) is coming up and how far to the next turn.
Thanks for your time.

I got this from Amazon, mounted it up under the gas tank on the far right side with Velcro. (Convienent for my wife to plug her iPhone into.) It has 2 lighter sockets & 2 USB ports. Hard wired it so that it only works when the switch is on. Has it's own fuse.... I would like to mount a hidden lighter socket under the corner of the dash and plug a USB charger into it.
