I would forget I put that on the seat and would scare the hell out of myself at a later date. Anti theft for me would be taking the rotor out of the distributor, turning off the gas valve or leaving the GAV open 2 full turns.

You are much more likely to get your A stolen while sitting on or in its trailer (along with the trailer), than while parked (unless you leave it running). Even if they could figure out how to start it once they tried to shift it like a modern transmission, they would most likely leave in disgust!

It is true - rattlesnakes just love Model-A Fords! As kids in the 50's and 60's, we nosed around in abandoned and junked old cars that we found in ravines or the back end of ranches. For some reason, a Model-A would most likely to be hosting a rattler or two. Or, maybe, its just because we ignored the non-Ford stuff. I quickly learner to lift up a seat cushion with a stick!

There were many locations that a GI on R&R in of Nam could go for 7 days. One place was Thailand. Biggest souvenir to bring back, a stuffed Cobra that you picked out to have stuffed. Want a big surprise, look into a sack that had one it in, big joke but not for any GI's that had to sleep with them...while alive.

Probably wouldn't work up here in VT, rattlesnakes are practically non-existent (actually there are a few in one small area and they're on the threatened and endangered species list), so no body knows what they look like!

Quigley,
Bear is a 5.5 year old English Mastiff, 34.5" at the shoulder and 175 lbs. He'll will get in the roadster when he feels like it! Not always when I want him to. Russ

Here in AZ there was one guarding the garage with 8 Model A's in it. It was curled up in a strike stance on the 3 foot wide path to the garage. With a 4' wall on one side and a brick building on the other the only escape route is to slowly moon walk backwards. I named him HENRY.
