Model A test question

HI;

I'm taking a test for judging and I need your help with a question and here is the question.

( Except for some late 1931 Models, Vehicles with cloth Interiors had Carpet Binding of ???? / ???? to match the ??????. )

The answer is suppose to be in the restorations book but I took this test before and I had put down ( Worsted Cloth to match the Door Windlace ), and that was wrong and so I'm stuck as I can't find the correct answer to the question.

As it's suppose to be a car with carpet in it in 1931 as I have read everything in that chapter and there is nothing, other than what I have put down to be the answer.

And the trim binding is suppose to match the carpet and the door binding but there is nothing other than what I put down as the answer, and so I need help from a person that re-upholsters the Model A's that have carpet in them like the Deluxe Tudor Sedan, and the Vicky's and so on to get the correct answer to this question.

If anyone knows the correct answer please let me know As Soon As Possible what it is as I haven't got a clue, as to what it is so I need your help with this question Badly.

So I can continue on with the rest of the tests that there is to do and I'm at a stopping point, as I can't figure this one out at all and that's why I need your help on this one so bad.

Even if I get the correct answer from a MAFCA or a MARC Judge would be great on this one, as I have been at this for over a month now and I'm stuck with this one question to finish the test out.

The way I read it is: Area 11 General- last line Some late 1931 models had cloth interiors with artificial leather windlace, trim welt, and carpet binding.Or were you missing the word "generally"?

This the reproduction carpet in my 190A that mimics the carpet it had originally. The binding appears to be an artificial leather. The upholstery is Bedford Cord Cloth. The carpet in my 45B Deluxe Coupe, which has Mohair upholstery, has the same artificial leather edge binding.

HI,

So there was leather for those area's as it doesn't say that in the book that I found anyway, if you know that then maybe you would know this as I'm stuck on this question as well and the question is.

The hood Louvers were changed in Mid 1928 so that they were parallel to the ???? ???? ( Body,Location ).

Now that's all the question asks for and I'm stumped on it as well as the other one.

Thanks' Gary WA and Bob Bidonde for your help in this matter and I also asked another question on the barn witch is.

Area 22 Question 12 and the question is:

Early 1930 hubcaps had none or a ?????? ?????? Liner; later hubcaps had a vary ?????? ?????? at the Hub Contact. ( Profiles ).

This one I have been working on for a long time also as I took the test before and I had put down that it was ( PARTIAL ) ( STEEL ) LINER; and the later hub caps had a ( FULL ) ( METAL ) Liner.

In witch I thought it was the correct answer to the question but it wasn't and to me there isn't anything else that it could be.

Please let me know as soon as you can

Thank you all

22-4; early 1930 were stainless steel with no reinforcement liner; Late 1930 had a full metal liner with ten attachment tabs.

Thanks! Gary,

I hope these are the correct answers if not I will just do them over again but I think they are the correct answers.

But who knows what the Judging committee thinks as I thought I had the correct answers before but I'm going to send them in with your answers and see what happens.

And I have to ask does Vince have a lot of stuff or what does he all have as I never heard of him before and what kinds of stuff does he all have.

Just a great information site! Everything Model A's from around the world and then some! Hope I answered correctly for you if not let me know we will try again.

Gary,

I think you got them correct but will have to see what the judging Committee has to say on that one as you never know.
