Model A Standard Roadster side curtains

Good Evening Everyone,

Are you almost ready for Christmas?

A question please. Does anyone have any decent photographs of the fittings/layout for side curtains on a 1928 Standard Roadster?

My parts should be arriving in the next few days and I would like get some idea of which fittings/catches go where. Various instructions for fitting side curtains seem, shall we say, a bit vague, to say the least.

I can't find any useful Youtube videos. If all else fails, I will make a video for others in this position.

I suppose in France it will be hard to find another one to look at, but that would be the best way to know. I can't think of anything written in books either, so hopefully someone with a 28 Roaster will chime in.

First off,...there were only "standard" open cars in 28-29. The Deluxe started
in 30..

Do a search, as I did,...this should get you started..

Thank you Tom and d.j.

Your right Tom, Roadsters are like Hen's teeth round here, so little chance of having a look at someone else's car. I've lived in France for sixteen years and only ever seen one other roadster. That was a 1930 model that a local mechanic had bodged up.

I did a search on the forum d.j. before I posed my latest question, but I missed that 2014 post. Tom from Drippin's all clear side curtains are amazing. I would still like to have closer pictures of all the fittings and where they go.

It has been a devil of a job to get all the fittings. They are all sold separately rather than as a kit. So it's catch 22! You have to know exactly what you want and are doing, to know what to order. Then when you get all the bits you don't want to fit the wrong bits in the wrong place because you know it's going to be an expensive epic to replacements.
