Model A Shock Question

Did the Model A come from the factory with shocks or was that a special order by the dealers?

The shocks were actually a very expensive factory part of the car. A lot of cars only had friction shocks or non adjustable hydraulic shocks. Ask anyone that rebuilds these shocks and they will tell you of the clearances necessary to get them to work correctly. I'm talking clearances of .0005. If you ever driven an A with correctly restored shocks or the Stipe shocks you will see a world of difference in the cars handling.
