This is a very new book.
It actually takes you through the restoration of all mechanical aspects of a Model 'A' Ford restoration with hundreds of color pictures, including body, body woodwork, panel work, painting, pin striping etc, associated with all 'Open' cars. Three 1930 cars have been used as an example. Correct part numbers for LHD and RHD are shown with the parts respective finishes as per the 1930 Parts List. The book also covers, basic body work, media blasting, full engine reconditioning, shock absorber restoration, gearbox and diff restoration, body painting, aligning the body, purchasing upholstery kits, top bows, tops and side curtain installation, pin striping, all covered with pictures and text. The assembled car is eventually started and driven away. The book does not end there. There are many interesting sections throughout the book, some purely for beginners. The book is easy to follow with all pictures in full color. Included is a trouble shooting section, an article on a 'one owner' 1929 Fordor Sedan, Canadian and USA engine and body numbering sequences, a 'how to start and drive the car', lubrication, facts and figures, short interesting stories, and lots more, with even a couple of Model 'A' poems. There are hundreds and hundreds of color pictures, showing every part with it's correct part number. 380 pages of technical information. Seems like it would be great for the beginner or the restorer. The book covers LHD and RHD vehicles.
While I have not read it It seems like a great book if you have an open car.
