Model A power

Engine restorer is a product that like some others, will help stuck rings to unstick.
Similar to CD-2, or Marvel Mystery Oil

Flow through radiator is good. Temp difference top to bottom is over 30 degrees F. "Engine Restore" has a "sticky" feel to it that is supposed to cling to the cylinder bore surfaces. I've used Marvel Mystery Oil before but never had results like this.

Re: Model A power update

Out of curiosity I checked the engine compression after 100 miles with "Restorer" in the oil. Compression has increased to 50-55-60-60. it was 45-50-60-60. The engine temperatures measured at the water outlet and at each cylinder was the same within a few degrees.

I've never been a "snake oil" user but there's something in the "Restorer" treatment that causes the rings to seal better. I'll check it again at 200 miles. As I've mentioned before the increased power can be felt and seen in higher speeds. I can now meet the legal limit for the road near my house.
