Upside down??? Depends which way you hold the map! It's having the sun in the south that's weird.

Between you and me Sync, I love seeing a wall-size map with Australia at the top, and in the center, and 'upside down'. It was my daughters favorite map when see was into that.

"Could also be heat soak of the starter " I haven't heard this term before. Can you expand on cause and effect?

High desert heat. Engine shut down. Starter absorbs heat. Heat increases resistance. Resistance decreases current flow. Starter drags. Engine won't turn fast enough to start.

Engine cools down. Starter cools down. Resistance decreases. Starter turns fast enough to start the engine.

With more information posted since initial response, I'm now curious about charging status.

Hello everyone, time for an update.

Someone said it might be the timing. So I followed his instructions and it appeared to be the issue. I adjusted the gap and it ran fine today. When I tried to start the car the last time today, I had to play with the spark a bit. I had it all the way up, but it was having problems, as soon as I moved it down when starting the car, it ran fine. I guess I have to learn more about that too.

Battery seems to be fine, I will still check the things you guys recommended, and post back on that.
