This pick up was backed in to one of my grandfathers sheds around 35-40 years ago and forgotten. untill now!

I have inherited the pick up along with alot of spare parts a few '' farm improvements" have been done but it all adds to the character.

Believe its a early 1928? will keep forum updated with photos.

wow not just a pickup but a RST pickup and it looks like a 28 with the red SW i hope you keep it just the way it IS l

What a treat. I found a 1948 Ford pickup in the barn of my great grandfather that was in similar condition. Hay all over it, sacks of feed still in the bed. I hope you have as much fun as I did with my find and restoration. :)

Captain Jack .....................
Get it running and hit it with some soap, water and a scrub brush and you will have a real jewel !
MIKE :)

It looks like a 28 to me too. Red steering wheel and from the brake handle. I havent seen a right hand drive one though, and it even still has the hole to put in in the left side in the firewall. Its a weird looking generator also and cutout. Looks to have been repainted also... green iside and a redish outside?

It's not a early 28, they had a r/h mounted hand brake lever. But it's a late 28, it has the l/h starter pedal, red steering wheel and gearbox mounted hand brake lever. The hand brake lever changed around Oct 28. The red steering wheels were changed to black around Feb 29 on rhd cars. This is from my copy of the rhd judging stds.

Hi guys,
thanks for your replys ,the pickup has been repainted red on the outside at some stage of its life.I have been told by my father that they did a swap for a rifle many years ago and they had the pick of another pickup and two coupes !!!Hopefully i will have it out in the next couple of weeks will post photos ENGINE NUMBER CA37800

The brake in front of the shift lever puts it somewhere between Dec 28 and Mar 29. The date should be stamped on the firewall, driver's side, upper part, though. Let us know what you find.
