Any chance of trying to find the correct narrow box instead of ruining the wide bed box?

Maybe they are few and far between down your way???

It´s very rare to find a pick up in my country, there are many cars, and the most of picks ups there are a cut cars (a car making pick up) I don´t know may be the request of picks ups there was so high at this time, and Ford did not delivery picks ups for those country!!

In mid 1931 Ford introduced a larger box with square corners at the bottom. If you have one of these boxes it is rather rare and your best approach would be to find someone to trade. I think the earlier box like the correct one for 1929 is a much better looking box and if you have the later 1931 box and cut it down you would still not have the correct look. Is the picture you show in your post your box or just an example to show the dimensions you need? If it is your box it is indeed a '29 due to the rounded corners at the bottom of the box.

Is only an example, the pick up box belong to a 1929 body, I have the front and the box and they said it´s belong to the same car...

I don´t have pics at last!!

Another example where they widened in the rear is in the tailgate side of where closed!!

I measured the width of the bed in my early '31 (small bed) and it is 40 1/2 inches wide. Yours should be the same width as mine. When I look at you marked up photo it looks like the bed was widened so much that it would hit the tires unless it was mounted high like a flat bed. Any chance of getting photos of what you really have including side shots? I am not a "T" person but if I remember correctly there was a cut out at the front of the box for the battery, is this possibly what you are looking at?

I bought the front and the box only, the body was pulled out from the chassis before at bought, but they said me is 29 model A
When I had the pictures I show you guys!!

In my opinion, from a logic standpoint it would be a alot of work to widen a stock bed, not to mention you'd have some serious mounting problems.

If you wanted more bed space it's alot easier to put on a flatbed with some stake sides. That was done often 'back in the day'
