Model A photo can't get sent

Help please. When I try to e-mail attached JPEG photos of my Model "A" to a friend who has GMAIL, he only gets a blank square with an "x" in it. He does receive attachments that are ".doc" and "pdf." I have a MacBook and he has a Dell. I'm not the greatest computer expert. Can any of you guys tell me a "quick fix" that I can do? Thanks a lot in advance for any help.
 
Is it possible that you need to reduce the size of the picture stored in your computer?
I had to resize a picture once in order to send through email.

Another thing you might want to look at is your camera. Look at the menu and scroll down to the section that gives options regarding picture size. Set your camera to the smallest size and then re-shoot the picture and try re-sending the new picture.

Thanks so much for your replies. Problem solved. My camera was ok & photos were under 300 kb. What we did was shut down his computer & then turn it back on. It automatically returned to his original "default" setting & he now receives all jpeg photos OK. Don't ask me why problems occurred to begin with. I just don't know enough. Again, thanks.
