Model A motor No Longer Froze

Restoration for my 1929 Model A pickup has been a slow-go since the motor was "moved." Will get it running as soon as I get all the rusted-down nuts removed so I can replace the rusted out battery box. Any suggestions?

I would save the old battery box if the mounting areas are good. The repro isn't made right and doesn't fit on top of the frame lip like the original does. At least my friend's didn't fit. Most times the main frame can be saved and the tray replaced. Years ago I bought the battery trays from A&L and Bratton's and they were good. I haven't worked on a battery holder for over 10 years, but I'd guess the repro tray's are still good quality. I try to reuse original nuts and bolts when possible.

You remember what you did to get that motor "unstuck". Well, think of all the things that you will want to get freed up and start soaking them with your solution.

Just in case someone is coming to this thread to get information as to how to "move" a frozen motor in a Model A, you'll need to read the entries int he previous thread. There is a lot of good information through those exchanges.
