I know if the sedans roadsters coupes phaetons but I'm not sure what you guys mean when you say murry, Briggs ect. I've got a 31 tudor. Is there more to the model of my car that I'm not aware of? Anyone care to help a newbie A guy understand and identify?

Oldnuts...My God, yes.

To better your understanding of the Model A Ford, you might want to get a few books on the subject as it would be just to lengthy to explain all the differences here.

The Ford Model A...As Henry Built It by DeAngles is one that comes to mind...You wont regreat it.

Where do you live?

Might want to join a local club, join the two national Model A Ford Clubs...Model A Ford Club of America and/or Model A Restorers Club.

A 31 Tudor could be a standard or a Delux Tudor. The Delux had a little larger and adjustable driver's seat among other small changes.

Murray and Briggs were body builders that supplied bodies to Ford. The Fordor sedan was made by both companies, there are subtile differances from one body and another. Bob

Thanks guys. Ill keep reading the links and books suggested. I'm actually reading the book Ford the men and the machine by Robert lacy. Pretty interesting but its more of a biography on Henry. I'm from omaha, ne I was a member of the omaha rebels hot rod club for a while.
