Well I hate to ask this question seeing as I`m new here but I `m planning on staying and contributing as well .
With one lens broken and the other one in perfect shape what do you think the value of this would be?
I`ll be taking it down to the swap meet in Puyallup early next month.

The fluted lenses make it a 28. Try for $100 at the flea. you might have to settle for $75.

A good original lens with a good door is $30+; Buckets are about $20 ea and up depending on condition of original light sockets inside; a good headlight bar (no bends) $20-$30. I'd say take no less than $100 (but I'll give you $75 )

Ok, one broken lens, badly bent headlamp bar, and likely corroded/pitted headlamp buckets, You still holding to that? It's YOUR $75

Are they 28s or 29s, do they have a small wiring hole or larger, do they have a good Ford script and say twolite or is there no script. If early there are no reproductions and would be of higher value to a restorer of an early car. The fluted lenses were re-manufactured int he 70s and are quite common.

Around me and the limited swap meets i saw a good headlight bar is about $15.

Usually these rust out at the base where the water runs down and sits before dripping off and around the headlight ring (usually cracked)

If the headlights shape look like a bowling ball cut in half they are a 30/31, if their more cone shaped thier 28/29

So here's a coupe of close ups apart from the bar being bent it's very solid.
I`ll give 100 ago and if it does not sell.
I`ll take that 75 to get it to a good home. I`ll be at Portland swap if you`ll be there.

I can't make the Portland Swap Meet this year; we'll be in Italy (bad planning). But I'll be at the National in July, and if Marco doesn't buy it first , maybe we can make a deal then.

I could be wrong but it looks like a crappy repro headlight lens. Look at the script on the upper left side.... buckets look very pitted. I personally would not give too much value on it... but it is your part. Ask what you think it is worth and hopefully it will find a good home for a mutually agreeable price.

The only script on the lens is the ford logo and to my eye it looks very old but then I have no reference and yes the buckets are rusty but could be sanded and primed to a nice finish with not to much work that's if you wanted to paint them.

Mmmm Portland swap or Italy mmmmm that's a hard one!!
