Model A frames ID

Hello All,

I am constructing a Model A from parts that Hot Rodders do not want. So my parts are from many different cars and several model years. My question is about the frames. All they all the same? I am trying to install 30 fenders and the only hole that will line up in the first one in the horn. Even the fender brackets are a little off. I know that the fenders are different 28/29 vs 30/31, but are the frames drill different also?

Thanks

This does not answer your question about the fenders but 28-29 and 30-31 use different
front cross members. If you mount a 30-31 radiator on a 28-29 frame the radiator will
sit to high and you will have hood alignment problems.

Iron Shaper...

Go to my website and go to file on the frames...there you will find an article I did for MAFCA (The Restorer) and that should help you ID the frame...If that does not work, get a copy of the MARC/MAFCA Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards...that to will help ypu ID your frame.
