Is there anything sweeter than a Model A engine idling?... I think not! I Love the Model A engine idling? ...... I think not! I Love the Model A and I thank god that my dad was a lover of Model A's as well. I miss my dad dearly! But I feel so close to him when I'm driving the A or model T !!! Flatheads Forever!!!

Yes, Joe, and how about this, Chief ran no hood in hot humid summers. About sundown as he idled down the quiet, rough, woods road to the house, I could hear the PLOP, PLOP, PLOP of the 2 blade fan, kinda' like the sound of an oooold Piper Cub idling slowly. I'd run down the road to meet him & he would always run past as if he didn't see me, then back up with a DEVILISH laugh
and let me either drive or ride the runnin' board. "Momma," he'd blurt out, "Look what I found wandering in the woods"! FUN CRAP! Takes me back to a simple, happy time in life. Exhaust & blow by didn't even "STINK"---That was CAR-AROMA # 13!! Bill W.
