Model A Ford fasteners...

OK...Derek from New Zealand AKA "Quickchange" got me thinking...

Contained in the FORD Parts Price Lists under the section of Standard Parts, is a list of "fasteners" and photo of each.

Question, has anyone "matched up" what part numbers, male/female, are used together and on what type of Model A and/or just where they are used?

Thanks.

Of course it is. What else do you mean in your original post?
It is always hard to tell what you are angling for in your post questions.
It often seems like a loaded question that you already know the answer to, and are testing everyone else.

What else do I mean in my original post? Are you kidding me?

You read the original post Vince...then you take a hard, hard look at one of your Parts Price Lists and Mick's book and you will see what I mean in my original post.

You will find I am not "asking a loaded question" that I already know the answer to.

There is nothing in Mick's book about "Fasteners" as stated in the Parts Price Lists as I have referred to in my original post...If there is, show me and everyone else.

Come on Vince...you seem to know everything...so show us!

Quit jumping to conclusions and quit being so damn quick to judge people on this forum.

If I knew the answer to this "loaded question"...I wouldn't be asking it.

Thank you.

Cat fight! I'll bring the popcorn-until this one gets closed.

If it's not bolts, screws, nuts washers and Wrigleys, what fasteners are you specifically talking about?

FASTENERS...as stated in the STANDARD PARTS section of the FORD PART PRICE LIST's (PPL) except the January 1 and October 1, 1928 booklets.

Things like A-24553: Clinch fastener--single; A-24562: Single snap fastener; A-24567: Post type fastener--single; A-24593: Carpet fastener stud. There are 35-37 type of FASTENERS mentioned within the PPL's and not in Mick Isbell's book as Vince claims there is.

No other type of STANDARD PARTS has a "photo of each" within their individual sections of the PPL's.

If you are asking if anyone has created a master list of the uses of the various trim fasteners, the answer is no. Additionally, few if any of us use Ford's part numbers. IF we use any part number at all we generally use the manufacturers part number. These were all industry standard items.

Thank you Marco for your honest answer!

I thought I asked this same question, somewhere. A book with photos, the number
of trim things ( snaps, studs and such ) required per body style/year, would be nice.
Tall undertaking, ya think.
