Model A Fenders

I'm looking for a new front fender for the passenger side of mh Tudor Sedan. My question is are they all the same or does the year matter?

Not all the same, plus some new fenders are of better quality than others. Year model, ...and your desired level of authentisity will play a huge role in what you need. Can you start by telling us year model?

You didn't state what year "A", that you have. In general, all 1928 & 1929 will interchange and all 1930 & 1931 will interchange. There are some differences in each year, but they will fit.
MIKE :)

Sorry, it's a 1928, the fender that I have is rusted and was badly repaired along the mounting holes where the splash guard bolts to. Not sure if it would be cheaper to buy a different one or try to repair this one.

Again, how accurate do you want your replacement fender. Depending on month, there is actually a difference between 1928 fenders that will transpire into the apron connection. Can you post a picture or two of what you currently have?

We would need a photo of the fender in the area were the fender bolts to the
frame and the splash apron. The fenders have a distinctive shape in that area.

I'm going for a well done driver not a perfect show car. Here's a couple of pics

Correct area in photo #1......with the flat red paint it looses definition. How about
one from the front towards the rear. It's the curve near the hood shelf, that's
what we need to know.

I agree, "early" 1928. Not reproduced and somewhat hard to find in good condition. It may not match when the car was produced. The serial number and firewall date would help. Gar Williams

Here's a shot from the front and one right towards the apron from the back.

The fender doesn't look bad to me. Maybe I can't see the problem in the pictures you posted. If I were you, I would repair the one you have.

The lip where it bolts to the splash apron has been redone with sheet metal. and when I pulled it up to match the splash apron it seperated on the curve. He just had sheet metal up to the curve and bonded it in.

Again, do you you wish but if I were in your shoes I would restore what you have. If you feel it is beyond your present capabilities, maybe someone can help mentor you so you can add that to your "done that too" list.

I looked at the firewall, the car is definitely "early".

The splash apron looks a little hammered, wrong hood shelves(repop?) for the
firewall and the splash shield. Fix the fender and drive the car and enjoy what
you have!

Thats what I plan on doing, but would like to know what fender to look for if I need to replace this one? Who knows what one will find once the primer is removed.
