model A engine overheating

Great NEWS!
Thanks guys for all your help.
With the proper fitting radiator cap. Drove around a lot this morning.
Bought the IR Temperature gun. Great Item.
The block was approx 140 F
The top radiator hose was 105 F
I hit many place with the probe...The head and lower down... reading ran from 130 F to 144 F . Also, touched the new radiator cap, and it felt Just warm to the touch.
Not too cold out approx 40 F.

I'm going tell you a true story. The guy reads fordbarn so i won't mention his name.

A wise and knowledgeable man would take his coupe out for a drive, he noticed the meter indicating that the engine was running hot. He had the radiator flushed but the same thing happened, high temp. He flushed the engine, same thing, over heat on the meter. He changed the pump, the coolant, and even the fan. No luck.

He finally solved his problem by replacing the meter with a regular cap and since then (20 years) never an indication of overheating.
