Model A Door Rattle????

Just bought a 30' Model Coupe on E-Bay and I am very excited about picking it up next Friday. The current owner says that the only rattle is in the doors but they can be adjusted. I've only owned 1 other Model A, (29' Pickup,) and the doors didn't rattle. The coupe is a stock Model A. How do I adjust?
Thanks

I own a 29 Hardtop pickup and the drivers door rattled and I tried adjusting ,new latch rubbers, even lube on the latch. I finally removed the latch and found that the latch was very loose. I fixed it by making small bushings out of brake line. I put the flared part inside on top and bottom and the spring holds it together. I of course had to drill the worn latch oversize to make the bushing fit in.

I agree!

The latches have to not be all worn out to be able to adjust the strickers so the door will close tight and not rattle. You also have to have good door rubber bumpers.

I also guess it is possable that if all the hinge pins or the hinges themselves are worn and loose, the doors will also rattle.

My experience

You might also remove a kick panel and check out the condition of the door restraint. If yours are like mine were, they'll rattle. Snyder's has new rubber parts, and the fix is relatively easy.
