Model A dog

"Bob" was always a Model A Dog. Issues with his advanced age of 14 years prevents this now.

If life was fair, these wonderful creatures would have the same life span we have.

Took my tudor to our company picnic for rides. Had a line of couples wanting a ride but some of their children were terrified of getting in this thing, even on mom's lap. Kids now day, no sense of adventure. Could be the no seat belt, or car seat situation was just too much a departure from reality.

our dog Abby is an old (13) but still fairly spry Yellow Lab.
she is crazy to ride in any and all cars and trucks including the Model As.
if I leave any vehicle door open she hops in and waits for me to join her and go. one day she sat in the '58 truck for over an hour before I made her get out.
the down side is that she is also a walking hair dispenser, so she makes a mess of any car with cloth upholstery.......

I am allowed and required to chauffer my Lab around in her Cabriolet. Now that she's older and going blind from cataracts, she sits closer, no longer hanging her head over the sill. When ever it is parked out front, she likes to nap under the umbrella, rising only to bark at the poor passing dogs who have no car of their own.

Here is Max, my model A yard dog being hugged by my grand daughter. He is just a big sweet pup. He loves to chase the cats if they run.

My dog goes everywhere with me.
This is from one cold morning in Newport Indiana.

our next president

Guess this borders on FordBarn-forbidden politics, but that remains to be seen! :D

Back on topic, I'm sadly both A-less and dog-less now. But before our miniature schnauzer Pepper went to the big doghouse in the sky, he'd come a-runnin' whenever somebody opened a car door. The exception was the one time I took him in my 30 CCPU to the vet - he was terrified. Although I dunno whether it was the transportation or the destination that upset him - he always seemed to be able to sense when we were going to the "doc".

Could be the no seat belt

Took my cousin's grandboys out in my non-A antique. Their parents have been conscientious about teaching them to always use seat belts - a good thing, but they were very concerned that the car doesn't have any!

But why are we shoppin' for a LAMPSHADE? All ours still have the "GRANNIE" plastic on em'?
