Model A dies over 45 mph

I pulled off the inline solenoid and line and replaced it with the new solid fuel line. This time it continued to run well above 45-50mph.

I cannot explain why this test failed previously unless there was some debris in the main shut off valve.

Yes, I have replaced the bowl screen, checked and rechecked it. Have many in stock.

Regardless, I am calling this fixed! I will definitely add that stand up filter.

Thanks for all the input!!

Good News. Time to Party!!!

Reading all the replies & found it very interesting, I don't have a fuel problem yet
but it seem the way to go is with a stand up filter. I don't know what this is or looks like. Anyone got a picture or catalog where I can see the filter??

Thanks

Snyders pictures the stand up filter on page A-144 of their 2019 catalog . They call the part a gas tank screen .The part number is A-9193-T Price $5.50

This is remarkable that I found this post. I am having the very same problem for some time. I have a stromberg 97 with a fuel pump and a regulator set to 3 psi.I have gone through the ignition system and fuel system. I am now checking to see how the flow is ahead of the fuel pump. I do know that I collect debris in my filters. Car is finished to a high degree and really do not want to remove the tank and risk damaging the paint on the car. I may try the small tank to verify.
