8th International Model A Ford Day in Nokomis, IL
Saturday, September 10th 10 – 2 PM
The International Model A Day is a formal opportunity for Model “A” Ford owners and Clubs around the world to get out, go for a drive and plan fun events with each other like Model A Day in Nokomis has done now for the past seven years. Ahoogah!
Model A Fords were built between the years of 1928 and 1931 back during the years leading up to, during and after the Great Stock Market Crash of 1929. Whether you are a driver, owner, restorer, hobbyist, interested in the history of the great depression or roaring 20’s, photographer, auto enthusiast, etc. you will enjoy these antique vehicles as they gather at Fred B. Johnson Park at 200 S Spruce in Nokomis. This year will celebrate the eighth consecutive year that Nokomis has hosted the Model A Day event which is coordinated by Nate Ruppert of Nokomis. These beautifully restored vehicles will be on display from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, September 10th. Please consider wearing some 20’s-30’s period clothing to help accentuate the Model A theme for this event.
The public is asked to stop by, see the cars, take some photos, talk with the owners, learn about the hobby and glimpse into the rich history of this vehicle driven by many of your ancestors.
There is no admission or entry fee for this event. Drivers are asked to register upon entering the event arena.
Contact Nate Ruppert at 217-563-7357 or 217-827-1777 for more information.
