I have that paint guide and find the chips not usable. All or many are way too dark from Henry's colors. Also, no conversion is available for mixing in dupont or PPG etc. The book is still very valuable on details of paint applications.

The online colors are pretty useless. Colors like the Lombard blue show up black which is kind of what it would look in the shade, but in the full sun it has a dark blue color.

If you are using the paint handbook that is produced by the clubs you must surround the color with a neutral color. The white surrounds trick you eyes into believing it is dark. I had this problem at first. Once I put the neutral color around the Lombard blue it was a perfect match to the original paint that was left on one of my doors.

I agree with Kevin's assessment. I recently had my tudor painted, and went through the same dilema. It's a big decision to paint your car based on a little paint chip. Luckily my paint shop made larger samples so I could really tell the true colors.
