does anyone have an exploded view or chart of the model A engine showing the oil flow. i need it for a project that i am doing on early combustion engines.

You can draw one yourself. The oil is picked up by the pump and is deposited in the valve chamber, it then flows down the holes above the mains and also overflows via the overflow tube and also the dam at the front of the valve chamber. A simple system that works well.

i think thats the route i may take. i am not a good artist and was hoping someone had something professional looking. maybe i will have one of my kids design something on the computer for me.

The book The New Ford, copyright by Ford Motor Co in 1929, has pages of cutaway drawings of all the Model A components including of course the lubrication of the engine. That is the Good News. The Bad News is the book is long out of print and is a treasure that should be reprinted someday.
