model A and 48 ford car

I am looking for running gear and flathead to put in my 31 Tudor, and have found a complete decent 48 Ford Custom car with a good body and running engine. My question is the car too valuable to whack up and use to convert my Model A? Would there be a market for the body and remains after I take running gear for the A? Are the components what I can use for the conversion? I just do not know what to do on the front end, rear end, transmission...Any guidance would be appreciated. Lynn

I would think the 48 would be to valuable to chop up for parts. I would suggest asking the same question over on the Hamb as most of us here are interested in keeping the Model A's mostly original.

You can get the best help here on stock A's, and while fantastic modified help can be found here, the sister site HAMB, with it's larger membership is an additional site to help with the rodding.

sounds like you have 2 complete original cars why take 2 good cars and turn them into a mechanical mess ?

Try the hamb. A lot of good info there. If you can get enough out of the 48. Buy a flathead and a earlier trans and rear. I don't blame you for not wanting the 48.
