Heres some more shots of tools ,The bead roller we made up ,this could be made up easy. I have mentioned this in the previous posts ,the two cog's are gear box 1st &R . Flathead 1st gears could be used ,The handle end bearing is just drilled through the angle section ,The bead end has two metal bushes and a snap ring and key way .This can be cut using a cut of wheel and a strip of metal as a guide .

Heres a shot you wanted
Nice work Ted, I have a set of swaging wheels that reproduces the 34 sill
exactly, so if you need any more give me a call.
In the shot where you show the swager you have made there is another machine in the background. I am a keen collector of old sheetmetal working gear
and would love to see some close ups of it.

Hi Ted,
the 34 Roadster is looking good, its not as easy as everyone thinks changing an Aussie body back into the American style.. been there done that.
Why Ford Australia used wood instead of a steel floor defies logic. Why Henry used wood for the door frames instead of the steel inner door skin from a Coupe or sedan door, why he used timber door posts instead of the steel door post from a 5 window coupe, etc etc is a puzzle...
Anyway keep going with a great project, look forward to seeing it finished..

Since Marts Thread on his 37 to 48 steering conversion .I thought this Plymouth conversion I did some time ago could be of interest ,I am posting it on my 34 build thred since it going to be part of it,I will post up better pictures one by one as I find them ,On this shot I have made up a welding jig to get the angles right .on the left on the running board you can see the Plymouth box cut and trimmed ,

Great seeing another roadster being put back together! If I can help in any ways (pics off mine) let me know

Nice work, Ted. The Plymouth looks like it will be a neat swap. On my roadster, which is RHD I had to watch the clearance with the starter - it's very tight.

Mart.

Heres how I cut the hole ,and the cut box ,My plan is to not bring it through the chassis ,
