Nice work!. I just caught up with your build again. I used to use a Smith "jewelers" torch with 00 tip; I gave up and started using tig because I kept setting things on fire when I laid the torch down.;)

Ted,

Visited your city a few days ago while cruising
On Voyager of the Seas.

Wish there had been time to visit and see
your project in person?

Keep up the good work!!

Joel I don't use a tig but am considering it for heaver work .The build hasn't gone far ,I will do some up dates soon . I am hammering and filing at the moment .
Well MF, I would have picked you up and given you a tour ,did you get into Auckland .?

Walt ,I am sure you could teach me a thing or two about engines ,When I was 15 I worked in the meat works, there was a lot of short days so I taught my self to paint cars to relieve the boredom ,After that I worked in all sorts of industrial paint error's and for three car assembly plaints on paint & upholstery ..In the 80s when I started building my 35 coup I did a night school Teck course for panel fabrication ,Tutored wheeling etc by a 80 year old expert body man ,( I wouldn't say I was a expert though ).went on for 7 years ,guys were building full model T body's all on the Govt .

Its a 37 box its the same as Plymouth Chrysler .I think Gemma who were licensed ? to Ford had the Patient on this roller worm system and all the car manufactures got new up grades for 37, this box comes out the side of the frame .
What year Plymouth box is it? Was it originally a cross steer box?

Ted , Is your car a 33 ? The rear floor section you have in the pic is a 33 with the braces on the two stiffening ribs by the diff cover . QUOTE=FlatheadTed;1345377]Epoxy priming[/QUOTE]

I made a floor for this but was offered a original floor so that's what I have now ,my 34 sedan has the ribs ,Here I am fabricating a rear corner piece of a plaster mould ,and doing the wood .Ted

I Notice how Henry cut the wood so it saved material .cutting ply to follow the sill sample for the bottom of the door ,glued together with a curve .

The floor subs didn't have some of the stamps in for the seat reinforcing so we made up this press tool .Also you can see were we tack welded the hinges before drilling the wood .
