Here is one source for 85-140 API-GL4: https://www.amazon.in/SCHAEFFLER-TruPower-Commercial-Vehicles-Transmission/dp/B0D47YF7XG
You are right though, it is hard to find online. Part of the reason is how Google search works. It will not weed out gear oils that do not conform to exactly what you are searching for.
I bought my GL4 85W-140 at O'Reilly auto parts store in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
Not many people are buying cars with manual transmissions anymore so there is not much call for GL4 rated gear oil.
I just ran over to O'Reilly's. Actually I drove. I bought a gallon of their Masterpro GL-4, SAE 140 Gear Oil. I think this is what I bought before and did not notice that it was not a multi viscosity grade. I think it will be OK in my car as I rarely drive when it is -65 F out. It being a single viscosity oil it will be thicker at 70 F.
As I get older my mind wonders and I miss details sometimes. Does that happen to you?
