Mirror attachment

I have two side mirrors that are on the upper hinge. They have set screws, but won't stay put and keep sliding. Tried a little duct tape, that doesn't seem to hold them either - suggestions?

Get some new set screws that have the serrated cup on the end, just a tad longer than the ones you have now. They will have to "dig into" the hinge, probably past the paint. A little locktite on the threads to keep them from backing out would help also.

That's what I did. I used some Permatex Thread Sealant on the threads. I even added some on the threads after tightening down on the screws to prevent them from backing out. It seems that there were 3 different strengths and I used the medium strength. Mine has held up well.
