I lost the information on that, but if you would check with the guys in the Ft Worth "Cowtown A's" he is a member there.Thank you for replying. Where did you obtain the switch you use with the mini-starter??

I had 3 "modern" solenoids explode on my starter that was converted to 12V.
Some need to PRACTICE reading & comprehending the initial posters' QUESTIONS---
Ok Abbie, I'll answer your question.. I put the solenoid on the firewall near the starter, I put a quality push button switch in the dash rail to the left of the steering wheel. I would use a quality push switch capable of handling not less than 10 A momentarily.I have converted my A to 12 volts. I am planning to install one of the light weight mini starters that requires a solenoid to be added. If anyone has installed one, I would appreciate describing where you put the solenoid and the starter switch, and what type switch you recommend.
thank you in advance
Lee,I've never heard of a solenoid exploding. How did that happen?i've seen a lot of them go bad,but never actually open up.
Hmmmm, Very interesting...![]()
