Milling a stock head

How much material can be removed from a stock T head, and is it worthwhile? I'm a little concerned that going to a "Z" or Prus head will be too much of an increase in stress on the bottom end of my "freshened-up" stock motor. Thanks : Bruce

In my opinion milling a stock head other than to true it up is a waste of a cylinder head.
It is impossible to substantially change the compression ratio without making the head so thin it will warp.

.125 on an early head you can feel the difference. Not worth it on a late head.
Egge pop up pistons are a bigger bang for the buck.
