Bringing the labor back home after their re-assembly in the parking lot at Lowes?

Portsmouth NH has a roving band of illegals who occupy various charitable organizations. One place of assembly is behind the WalMart on Route 1 since WalMart for a time has been tolerant of "overnighters" in the parking lot. They make their way over to Lowes and Home Depot and frequently hold signage for work.

For years my wife and I have monthly brought a meal made by our church to the Salvation Army in Portsmouth. The meal count USED to be 20 meals before year 2020. Now the request is for 40 meals.

We're still doing the meals - I suspect at some personal peril as "aiding & abetting" exists.

"Free enterprise" exists even to do charity.

Local charity by churches and community service organizations was the norm until the late 60s. For some reason .gov figured it was their job and started passing out our money.

I remember being in 10th Grade Civics class in high school. That was when the teacher opined on the (then) current state of the nation socially.

"The purpose of government is the WELFARE of the nation."

Noble sentiment.

I thought then "It depends on how you define welfare?"

And now "how do you define nation?"

I dearly hope it doesn't come down to "define government."

Joe, you are a good person.

Be careful you are not rounded up with the others and offered a free plane ride to east oshkosh/siberi.

According to a Google search:
"While precise data for the average height of Mexican males in 1929 is difficult to find, based on available research, estimates suggest that the average height of adult males in central Mexico during that period was around 5'4" to 5'6" (166.5 cm) or 158.5 cm."

These guys would appear to fit in that general category. At the same time, so-called Caucasian American men were about 5' 7" tall, not significantly taller, but only a couple inches do make a difference visually in that height range.
