I use a set up like JoeK but simpler. 5 gallon plastic pail, Notch the rim 180 degrees to hold a stiff wire ( coat hanger). Poke opposite holes in soda can and suspend on wire in middle top of pail. Cover can with peanot butter. Use a stick for a ramp. If you check it daily use 3-4 inches of water. If you let it sit a while use 50-50 antifreeze so there will be no dead mouse smell.
Similar story, not nearly so successful.the frolicking continued. so i just waited there in the dark. about 10 mins later... 'SNAP!'then quiet. and about another 10 mins and another 'SNAP!' i figured the cheddar cheese had caught these two frisky friends attention.
I have a friend that swears by peppermint to keep mice out of his car. He says they don't like the smell and puts a pan of flavoring under his A every winter. I've never tried it but there's worse things to smell when you walk in the garage...
get a cat.
Thank god nk isnt my neighbor!
I have a rat terrier mix. Awful name for a very cute dog, and smart. As far as I know we don’t have a rodent problem, and didn’t even before we got the dog. She may be bred to kill rats, but appears to have been bred to sleep, with an added bonus of being a short haired breed that nonetheless sheds constantly.
