Meteor Horn Cap info

[ricco]

Hey,
I'm wondering if anyone might be able to give me a little bit of history on this Meteor horn cap? I believe it is from a 1952 or 53, but I'm not sure of the model, because I've only ever seen a couple of them and they weren't on cars.

My knowledge of meteor cars is very limited since it was mostly a Canadian model of a re-badged & up trimmed Ford car for sale at the Mercury dealers in Canada. Meteors were manufactured in the USA but only for a few years back in the 60s. My Pop had a 1962 Mercury Meteor for a while but it was smaller than he liked so he bought a Galaxie 500 in 1965. There were parts catalogs published for the Canadian Mercury cars & trucks but they aren't common. I see them on flea-pay now and then.

My dads 52 Crestline Victoria had the same horn cap.
