Re the hood shelf's, there were several versions between 1917 and 1923. My 21 had a cutout in the side for the head light wire to pass through and the hole in the top was embossed. There may be early ones that did not have the cutout in the side for the wires. The later ones used a thimble where the wire passed through the top. I don't have any so I just passing one some info.
