Mercury door adjustment

Hi, Need help in adjusting pass door on 2 door1954 Mercury Monterey. Door does not want to close tight at bottom rear. Have loosen the 8 floating plate bolts and moved the door into position. Now I can't find a way to get to these bolts to tighten. Any help would be appreciateed. Joe

try taking 1 out all the way and with a dentist pick through that hole pull the plate towards you and turn the bolts you may have backed them out a little to far they are a fine thread if i remember correctly and a P-I-A! TO TIGHTEN also they may be stripped good luck
