For those of us in the colder Melbourne, the Flathead Festival is on again at the end of this month at the Caribbean Gardens & Market. Details at the link below.

I should be there in the '41, unless it's pouring with rain. Although we haven't had much this winter so far...

Tony, Looks good and thanks for the heads up. I'll be there.

If I get my rear spring back, 94 rebuilt and brake hydraulics replaced, your 41 will meet a pal.

Here are some photos I quickly took today. Was nice to meet a couple of people from the Barn. Enjoy...

thanks Tony I enjoyed that. Loved the story about the Dagenham 36. Also great to see those "utes" ....something you don't get to see here in NZ very often.

That was great. I enjoyed the pictures very much. Keep up the good work. Wish I was there. Do you know Mal Bradley a Model A guy. I stayed at his place a few years ago.

Hi Tony, I missed seeing you but saw your nice 41 there. You got a nice picture of my blue 34 sedan I see. What a fantastic day it was with the sun shining mostly. Must have been 200 cars there. Your nice big pics are great. My 42 year old son had his first ride in my 34 Ford and he was impressed at how well an old Ford V8 goes. He is a mechanic and a GM Holden man but I am trying to convert him to old Fords. Best regards, Kevin.

This is going to be a really dumb question, But:
What years, or up to what time period were the Semiphores or (Trafficators) used?
Yes, I know my spelling is horrible.
Thanks
Jim
My Brother in Arizona has a 47 Jaguar with those turn indicators on it

Kevin, yes missed seeing you. The '34 looked great again in person. Surprised that was your sons first ride in it!

Regards,
-tony.

Kahuna, that 1936 cabriolet was English built and that's why it had semiphores or trafficators as we called them in Australia. Most English cars had them included in the build of the cars up through the mid 1950s after which time the standard type indicators or turn signal lights became available. Regards, Kevin.
