Mechanical brake adjustment.

Some one on the Barn was kind enough to email me a 4 page sheet of instructions on how to adjust mechanical brakes it was meant for a model A but worked very very well on my 34 pickup It was published by a Peter Crosby, it starts out by making a board with notches to put against pedal etc. It was probably a year or two ago, I can't remember (old age + crs.) They work so well I see no reason to go to hydraulic brakes unless you are making a street rod. IMHO. I wish to thank that person very much if he can remember doing it.
Thanks again Gary.

Get the service bulletins and they have the proceedure. If set right with good drums and lining they will lock all 4 wheels. More reliable than hydrolics but take a little more pedal pressure. A lot of brakes don't work very good due to leaking wheel seals. Don't follow to close behind other cars with either an old car or a new one. G.M.

Thank all of you for your input, I had already adjusted them I just wanted to thank the Barner who sent the instructions to me. The instructions showed how to adjust the brake rods which I needed to do as well. The youtube did not show that part. I have Flathead Teds floaters on my 34 pickup. Thanks again.
Gary.
