Marvel Mystery Oil

I am not sure if it is worthy of adding to gas tank or engine oil. I add half a cup to the gas tank of my Explorer on every fill up just because. I just changed the oil after 7,000 miles and use a synthetic blend on a V6 engine with 163,000 miles. It doesn't use a drop. Pretty amazing to me. I hope I get close to that on the 8BA in the 41 Pickup.

Some folks on here claim this is the best thing ever invented and say it will do all kinds of good things to help your engine. I really don't know personally, but like a sheep following the herd, I use it in my gas tank whenever I fill up. My engine is running very well so I will keep using it. I also put some in the oil when I change that. I always think of GM as being the one who always touts the benefits of MMO. He has the MMO top end oiling systems on his cars.

I added an Ampco top oiler on our 46 and fill it with MMO. I have it set to inject about 16 oz in 1000 miles. I also add about 4oz when I add 8 gallons of gas in the tank. Sure seems to keep the engine quiet. I also heard one of our flathead advisors puts it on his corn flakes in the morning!

I guess I will have to give this stuff a try when I put my new motor in the 37.the only addative I have used is STP and a lot of it!

Our Bonneville truck ( flathead) doesnt move much. Just had a couple ( multiple ) valve guides hang up when started. Took a ton of work to fix , i think marvel ( or a top end oiler) would have prevented a ton of work !!!
I use it in the gas tank of both my Model Ts and have for years to keep the carb from iceing up............

Love the stuff use it by the gallon in our fuel injector business , every injector shipped has a bit in them............

I use it in every engine I have. Good stuff. Going to try a dab mixed with shampoo to see if I can grow hair back. What'a ya think? Worth a try?

I use it too. done so for about 50 years. I had a 52 Olds that had valves and lifters that would hang up, an old mechanic friend told me to use a quart in the oil to loosen them up, it worked and I have been using it since. about 2oz to a gallon of gas and also in the oil.

I recently started having trouble with the little flathead 4 in my '41 pickup....had been running well, and rather suddenly started blowing blue smoke...obviously oil. I was a little worried about a rebuild coming up, ....John Munro recommended using MMO (I used to use it but some time ago sorta started forgetting to add it I guess) and it cleared up in no time. And I am remembering now to run it in both old trucks. I run it in the fuel, by the way.

Woudn't make a salad without it.:):D

I do know this, Aircraft mechanics say that they can tell when they tear down an engine the ones that use MMO and the ones that dont. The ones that use it has 20% less wear than the one that dont with the same amount of hours. Thats good enough for me .:D

You can get MMO in the gallon jug @ most parts houses also wallyworld. You might also consider adding sta-bil to your gas. The blue marine grade is less expensive same stuff just blue for marine engines.

When I got my 39 it hadnt run for 35 yrs. I soak the pistons with MMM FOR 2 wks. it loosened up. When it started it missed something terrible. I poured some slowly down the carb. The sticky valves loosened up. Sure it smokes some. SUNSHINE.
