My son is building a steel back and I wanted to have a picture of what the car will look like as inspiration. He's 16 and I think he feels like it will never get done. I want to put the goal in from of him.

Mike , the nicest Vicky i have ever seen was restored some time ago by [Peter Grant] in Conn. Brewster Green /Black with apple green stripe/wheels. Car was very rich looking . If you go with Ford Maroon /Black then you are looking for extra work .You would need to tape for Sill moulding is lower body color. That alot of edge work..

I agree Peter, I think his brother or another local member had a light gray Vicky as well. I like the steel backs best, was there more that one top material options for the cloth top versions?

It's my son's car and now he wants Maroon instead of the Brewster green.

Mike ,now thats a paint job !!!! But JS state only on color Maroon/Black that the sill gets lower body color? right or wrong?? What a beautiful car anyway...[roadster62]Jimmy Grant his brother restored a Deluxe Roadster just as nice back then. Not a Gray Vicky. There's a guy in Bedford Hills that has or had 4 Vicky's last year. 2 were forsale that i looked at but a Black unrestored one [not forsale],solid "A" i ever seen. What a waste he does a cheap ,fast job on them...every part was there.

Pete could you clarify what you mean by extra work, to tape sill moulding... It is my intention at this stage to paint my Victoria the correct maroon / black / black wheels combo. "Forwarned is forarmed"

Cheers

Justin ,i mis-spoke on sills... [Reveals] i should of said. Sorry. Your doing a very nice job on the body. Good luck... i used GlasUrit,, polyester basecoat for my Black...

Mike, your son's car will looking stunning with that combo, especially with the black wheels. In my opinion, the brighter wheels, green or red, pull the viewer's eyes away from the pretty lines of the car and are a distraction, compounded when WWs are mounted with them.
