Manual for Pexto shear

A few months ago I aquired a Pexto xc42a gap shear that was made in 1941. I am planning to restore it & use it. Before I tear it apart & repaint & powder coat it I would like to try to find a original manual or a copy of one for it. I have contacted the current Peck, Stow, & Wilcox co., but all information they once had has been lost. I have bought a few missing pieces for it from a company in Washington that restores equipment like this, and they sent me a copy of how to adjust a similar but newer gap shear. I posted this on the hamb & recieved a few responces but no luck yet. I thought before I got involved with a machinest web site that I would post this here in hopes that a barner might have some information on it. Thank you. Bill

Used to use one regularly many years ago. It's cutting capacity was determined by the number of people that you could get to jump on the pedal in unison.
Seriously doubt that there was ever a "manual". The most I ever saw was probably what you were provided. Just cutter settings.
The one that I used had a US Navy tag on it and was provided to the Company back in the war years along with other machines. All were painted NAVY gray.

Try Vintage Machinery on the net, they are located in Tifton Ga. and they have lots of manuals posted free on the internet.
