Make and model ID (not A!)

Sorry this is not model A related but I don't know of any other transatlantic forum with the depth of knowledge of Fordbarners. Please can anyone ID this make/model for me? Photo taken in Canada c 1961. Thanks.

Probably a custom body on a Mercury chassis. I think the wheels would put it in the M5 range.
The "Canadian F1 Mercury pickup" refers to the Mercury M-Series pickup trucks, which were produced primarily in Canada by the Mercury division of Ford Motor Company from 1947 to 1968. These trucks were essentially rebadged Ford F-Series trucks
