Main/rod inserts for G28 block

What size are the original bearings? There have been so many engines designed and built over the years that I'm pretty sure there will be something available.
For example, I have converted a Diamond B engine to inserts using Chev inserts for the 2" main bearings (although they are 0.020" undersize) I had trouble finding inserts for the 1 7/8" rod bearings but with what I wrote above, I persevered. I found a bearing from a Toyota fork lift engine that were ideal. Inserts from another engine could be either from its main bearings or its rods - makes no difference.

I'm looking for source for main/rod inserts for a German G28 block. Thanks. millagsrch@gmail.com

Where are you located? There is a person in Germany who is right now putting together a group order of G28 bearings to have them custom made.

Once he gets a large enough order together, he will have them made at GMO (Gleitlager und Metallverarbeitung GmbH Osterwieck) there in Germany. Here is the link to the GMO web site (both in English and German): https://www.gmo-gleitlager.de/en/

What companies make custom bearings or rebuilds them?

Me, -for one.

We clean the old bearing shell, tin & pour it, and then bore it using a Tobin Arp SB to machine them. Google that machine if you are unfamiliar with them.
