main cap direction

I'm reassembling an engine that's been apart for a while. On the front and center main caps, what direction does the triangle point? Toward or away from the cam.

I always point them toward the cam. The main thing is to put them back in the same position the came from. If it binds the crank that way, turn them around. Do one main at a time.

One thing I do is to chamfer the rear of the front bearing and face the front flat. Like Jim I always point the triangle towards the cam.
