The Illinois Region MARC has recently held a Quad Meet for regions and Chapters in the northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin area at the Volo Car Museum as a fun get together and we hope we can send several hundred dollars to MAFFI for the benefit of the new museum they are trying to build on the grounds of the Gilmore Museum in Southern Michigan. They did this by holding an auction thru the efforts of MARK Maron and raised extra money to be donated.
I know a lot of regions/Chapters of both National clubs are getting behind this great effort in support of "OUR" new national Model A Museum both by financial donations and by donating cars, parts and accessories.
The reason I am telling you this is because they need our support if they are going to put together a first class Model A Museum.
So lets all raise money and send it to MAFFI as they are gettting ready to break ground and they really need our support.
Is it a great organizatin? You bet it is, and our new museum will be a wonderful place to exhibit the Model A for all to see. If you have not been to Gilmore you must see this beautiful facility with several old barns all restored, filled with vintage cars of all types.
They also have a Shell gas station moved and restored on site. Stop and have coffee and pie in the roadside diner that was moved and restored at this beautiful museum complex.
Please gather all Model A collectors and join forces to raise money and help our museum during this new construction phase,

If you are looking for something to bring the two clubs together I think MAAFI is the answer! Let's all put a tremendous effort into this museum and we can call it our own!! (All Model A owners) notice I did not say MARC or MAFCA oooooooh I wasn't going to say that!!!!!!

Now that is a goal to work towards.......Ha Ha, If you have not been there the other buildings are restored antique barns and they are fillled with wonderful displays of antique and classic cars. Georgeous!!!!!!
