Thanks to you all for your support!

I was (re)elected to the MAFCA Board!

I'm really excited.

If you live anywhere near Cincinnati, come join us on Dec. 11-12 for the National Awards Banquet at the Hilton Netherland Plaza.

It will be a fun couple of days, and you can join us when I get sworn onto the MAFCA Board on Saturday evening! I want a cheering section like they've never seen before! :D

Thanks again!

Who else won? The OP is click bait without all the results........

Sorry about that!

I was so excited when they called me to tell me that I had been elected that I did not think about reporting on the other candidates.

I wasn't actually given the overall results. I keep looking on the MAFCA website for the results, but they are not there.

As near as I can piece it together, but I don't guarantee accuracy...
Elected or re-elected for 2027-28:

Happy Begg (incumbent reelected)
Sherry Winkinhofer (incumbent reelected)
Jim Cannon (new but has been on the Board before)
Ed Tolman (new but has been on the Board before)
Bret Plue (new)

That leaves Vicky Gibbs in NM not getting elected, plus the gentleman that passed away during voting, Tom Rut.

Congrats to all. Now a request to the new Board. Get the memory stick of the Restorer issues updated. Memory sticks are cheap rewrite and relabel the ones you have or just toss them in the trash. They are missing OVER 15 years of the latest information. Make it so the Restorer electronic issue can again be downloaded as a PDF. Dr offices no longer have reading material and I never like the programs they have on the TV.

These sound like good ideas. Please submit them to the Publications Director at publications@mafca.com

That's who is responsible for this area.

Been there done that - Also to Ed when he was President I offered to scan the old issues and create the PDFs - CRICKETS.........
Maybe they were busy with another project, like Rev. 5 of the RG&JS. I don't know.

Now that they are not doing that, maybe they would pick it up. I don't know what the next project is in the queue. I'm sure they would be excited to have a volunteer pick this up. The First 50 Years was done by volunteers.

Maybe they don't want PDFs. The "First 50 Years" thumb drive contains two .jpg files of each page, Low-res and Medium-res, and a viewer built as HTML (so very portable, does not require any software beyond a browser, doesn't care about operating system).

Maybe they were waiting for an even number of years since the "First 50", which ends with the March/April 2006 issue. It would be nice to have the next step be a 20, or perhaps 25, year chunk.

You could also run for the Board and volunteer to be Publications Director. We could use your ideas and your enthusiasm.

When I volunteered shortly after I joined MAFCA - 3-4 years ago (and a couple times since) I was told it was being done and would be finished shortly. When they changed Web Masters the ability to download a PDF was shut off.
I got a real sense of "not invented here so we're not interested".
JPEG scans would be even easier than PDFs which would have the great advantage of being searchable.
