Made a new air cleaner

Just pulled the old engine out, and just about done putting together my new 59a. Just wanted to post a couple pictures of the air cleaner I made out of billet aluminum.
Made it to fit the offy 1090

Beautiful! Let me guess, if you were to make one for sale it would cost about 5 grand just to break even on your time?

6 hours,WOW.What type of machine did you use?.How did you program the v8 logo ?Powder coat with the surface of the logo polished would look great! Phil

Thanks,
I'm a tool and die maker, so I have access to CnC machines. I drew everything up myself in CAD V8 logo and everything. Then programed and set it all up to cut. Fun little project.

Holy,

I made one about the same as yours only for 4 97's that got switched later for 4 throttle bodies that look like 97's. This was my first venture with the Chevrolier 2 axis CNC machine. Took about 10 days with most of the time laying out the patterns for the top and bottom. Started with the air cleaner element and the size and spacing of the 4 air horns and went from there.

I always hated billet looking stuff, but that is Magnificent. Well done.
Really wish I had the brains and talent for things of that nature
