looking for a regulator for my 35 coupe macs price is 86 bucks.i found one for 100 from a hamb member.which is better? is the macs one from china or usa.does it work as well?or should i just pay the 100 and have an original part?i kinda want the original just don't know the value.14 dollars isn't much just currious thank you

I put a new solid state cut-out on my `35 several years ago. End of problems. Not sure where I bought it now, but seems like an individual makes them.

I think hes talking about a w/s regulator not a cut out. LOL I would go for the genni one if its in good shape. There were a lot of China ones that never worked right put out. ken ct. OMO

I bought two 35-36 windshield regulators recently from Bob Drake. First one was $75.00. The second one was on sale at $60-65.00. They look well made, fit as good as originals, and work well. Only time will determine how long they last. I suspect they are made in China. Most of the original used ones you find have worn/stripped gears. Would cost more than a new repro to have an original rebuilt. I would be willing to bet that MAC's is sourcing theirs from Drake.

I would bet you are correct. During a tour of MAC'S last summer, I obsrved many boxes marked with Drake's logo that were sitting in the MAC'S incomming area.
